Financial sanctions introduced against Russia following its invasion of Ukraine are “manageable” for Britain’s insurance sector, Bank of England Deputy Governor Sam Woods said on Tuesday.
Woods told a House of Lords committee that after examining the impact of the “powerful package” of sanctions, he was “comfortable” that they are manageable for insurers in Britain.
