Did Google Just Accidentally Leak Official Images Of Pixel 8 Pro?

Alphabet Inc.’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google has inadvertently leaked its upcoming Pixel 8 Pro smartphone, giving us the first official glimpse at the phone’s camera design.

What Happened: Google seems to be having a hard time keeping a lid on Pixel 8 Pro leaks, and this time, it has no one but itself to blame. The upcoming Google flagship has been spotted on the Google Store, giving us a look at the unified camera visor on the back.

Cameras are one of the biggest selling points of Google Pixel phones. While the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to feature newer camera sensors, Google seems to have worked on refreshing the camera module’s design as well.

Going by the leaked Google Store image, the Pixel 8 Pro will house all three camera sensors in a new unified sensor, instead of a separate island for one of them like on the Pixel 7 Pro. The LED flash, though, remains separate from the camera island, with an infrared sensor placed just below.

The leak also shows off the Pixel 8 Pro in a porcelain color, which was discovered by a tipster who goes by the @android_setting handle on X (formerly Twitter).

Google Pixel 8 Pro Features: What We Know So Far
The Google Pixel 8 Pro is expected to sport a triple camera setup on the back, with a 50MP primary snapper, a 64MP ultrawide, and a 48MP telephoto module.
Google has also added an infrared sensor that will allow users to measure their body temperature by pointing it at the temple region.

Just like its predecessor, the Pixel 8 Pro is said to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz display and a 4,950mAh battery. Charging speeds are expected to see a moderate boost to 27W from the 23W of its predecessor.

Another highlight of the Pixel 8 Pro will be the Tensor G3 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage. It will launch with Android 14 and is expected to receive five years of updates, just like its rival iPhone.
