Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is reportedly introducing a price hike for its Prime subscription in Europe, just a few months after the e-commerce giant raised Prime prices in the U.S.

The annual Prime fee in the U.K. will jump from £79 to £95 from September 15th, marking a 20% increase. The hike will be even sharper in France, where Amazon will raise Prime prices from €49 per year to €69.90 — a 43% jump.

Annual costs of Prime will also rise by 39% in Spain and Italy, while in Germany, Amazon’s second biggest market, the price will increase by 30% on an annual basis.

The move comes several months after Amazon hiked Prime prices in the home market from $119 to $139 per year.

Amazon will also increase monthly prices for Prime across Europe by £1 or €1 per month. The monthly subscription packages do not include the discounts that come with yearly subscriptions, which most Amazon customers prefer.

The e-commerce company said it is hiking prices due to “increased inflation and operating costs.”

Amazon is set to report its Q2 earnings on Thursday, three months after it reported its first quarterly loss in seven years in Q1.
